This is not the child I remember putting to bed last night. He is supposed to be tiny, still in diapers and in need of cuddles. Today he is a strong, independent young man. He knows most of his letters, has a vivid imagination and can talk up a storm. He is starting to try to put together words on pages of books and writes everything that he can. He loves all things boy - cars, fire trucks and trains. Today our son is five.
To celebrate his birthday we went to Stocker's corn maze last weekend, we started Taekwondo with Master Ahn in Mukilteo an adventure to Baringer farms with friends and we had a family dinner last night. There is a kids party Sunday after Church as we did not think Papa would make it through that. Carrot cake, salmon and potatoes were the birthday boy's request.
He got a new big boy bike. Shreck green of course.
Not to be outdone, Madilyn had to put on her tutu and show off during the party.
This is the little boy I remember tucking into bed at night. Somehow it seems like yesterday that he was this small.
Happy Birthday James!!!! We're going to be in Seattle January 3-5th. Hope to be able to see you guys =-)
