Christmas Is Coming!

Christmas has arrived as the angel Gabriel announces "For unto you this day a child is born in the city of David a savior and this shall be a sign unto you, you shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger!"  Completely without script in hand or lines being fed to him.  I am one proud - and impressed Momma. He also remembered three other lines.
The perfect perch for an angel after lines in the play, is on Dad's lap, covering his head with your sleeve.
Tonight we decorated the Christmas tree with some old ornaments, this one I made in Kindergarten.
Scott made this one in grade school
I see a future as a KISS cover band...
We finally decorated the top of the tree by lifting children as Scott and I were not decorating it properly and to their liking.
This is our finished product.  A little lop sided on the left with the ornaments, but I have a feeling we will be redecorating on a daily basis.

This year James picked out the perfect tree, one that took 2 days, a new tree stand, and lots of shoving to get into the house.  We had to remove a bird's nest, some grass and move our furniture around.  It is a beautiful BIG tree and is very well filled out.  It is also a local tree, less than a mile from our house lives Papa Glover, he is a local farmer who also sells some Christmas trees.  James was very excited to pick out one on his own this year and did a good job (we just need a bigger house).

  1. Good job James! So proud!

We got our tree on Sunday. I put the lights up and then Logan did all the ornaments as I wasn't putting them on "correctly." Sheesh! Then he got mad when I didn't have any more ornaments left in the boxes.
